Jacob Leander – Bio

Jacob Leander is a video and photo producer with 18+ years of experience and a background in Production Management and Line Producing. His career includes five years on the agency side as an in-house Senior Producer, two of which he served as Head of Production. During this time, Jacob produced and supported between 50 and 100+ projects annually, with budgets ranging from $10,000 to over $1,000,000, for multinational Fortune 500 companies.

Before his in-house and client-side work, Jacob gained eight years of freelance film crew experience, starting as a Production Assistant and working his way up to Production Coordinating and Assistant Directing on a range of union and non-union productions. His portfolio includes broadcast commercials, documentaries, independent films, and episodic and reality television filmed in Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles.

Jacob’s early career experience of primarily Production Assistant roles on a wide variety of productions provided an invaluable education in film production. Through these experiences, he observed how companies and producers made decisions in diverse circumstances, developing a deep understanding of what types of people and resources best fit specific projects. This knowledge enables him to identify the right experts and collaborators for any challenge.

Jacob maintains a vast network of colleagues and associates in the Pacific Northwest, Los Angeles, and New York, as well as globally in Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. If he doesn’t have an immediate answer to a question, he knows the specialists to turn to for creating high-quality content across a wide range of formats and styles.
